How CoinRebalance works
CoinRebalance is a portfolio allocation automation tool. You define target percentages for each asset; CoinRebalance computes and executes the trades needed to maintain those targets on a five-minute cycle.
The rebalancing cycle
-
Connect your Binance account
You create a Binance API key with Spot Trading and Read permissions only. Withdrawal permission should never be granted — CoinRebalance does not request it and its internal allowlist prohibits withdrawal calls entirely. Enter the key in CoinRebalance; your API secret is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored.
-
Define your target allocations
Specify what percentage of your portfolio you want in each asset — for example, 40% BTC, 30% ETH, 20% BNB, 10% USDT. Your allocations must sum to 100%. You can set tolerance bands so rebalancing only fires when an asset drifts beyond your threshold.
-
Review recommendations (optional)
Before enabling auto-trading, CoinRebalance shows you rebalancing recommendations based on your current holdings and targets. You can approve trades individually or review the logic before committing to automation.
-
Enable auto-trading (opt-in)
Auto-trading requires explicit consent. Once enabled, CoinRebalance runs a rebalancing cycle every five minutes: it fetches your current balances, computes the minimum trades needed, and places market orders on Binance. You can disable auto-trading at any time from your account settings.
-
Monitor via audit history
Every cycle is recorded in full — which trades were considered, which were placed, order IDs, fill prices, and any skip reasons (quota reached, kill switch active, etc.). The audit log is immutable and always available in your account dashboard.
Built-in risk controls
CoinRebalance includes user-configurable trade limits and safety guardrails to keep automated activity within the boundaries you set.
- Monthly executed-volume quota — auto-trading pauses when the limit is reached
- Per-cycle order count limit — prevents runaway trade generation in edge cases
- Kill switch — disables all trading instantly from your account or the admin panel
- Minimum trade size filters — no dust trades below Binance's minimum notional
- TOTP step-up verification required for sensitive actions (key changes, consent revocation)
What CoinRebalance does not do
CoinRebalance does not predict price movements, identify trading signals, or make recommendations about which assets to hold. It does not claim to improve risk-adjusted returns or outperform any benchmark. Rebalancing reallocates your existing assets toward your stated targets — the performance of those assets depends entirely on the market, not on CoinRebalance.
If you are looking for a tool that promises to outperform benchmarks or generate automatic returns, CoinRebalance is not that tool. CoinRebalance is portfolio allocation automation for people who already have a view of what they want to hold and in what proportions.
